What are Versions?
Versions are located in the MyRoster page.
Versions in RosterLab create snapshots of your rosters so you can refer back to them later. Each time you publish a roster, a new version is automatically saved and labelled "Published Roster [date and time]."
You can also manually save a snapshot version at any time by pressing the save a new version button.
How to tell you're viewing a Version
When you're inside a Version, the site header turns completely green and you will receive a warning message. This is your visual cue that you're looking at a historical
snapshot rather than your live, editable roster.
Returning to your current roster
To return from version view to your current view, press the return to current button from the my roster page or the back to current view text from the warning
What you can and can't do in a Version
Versions are intended for reference only. You cannot publish from within a version, and changes made there cannot be brought forward into your current roster.
Bringing roster allocations forward
If you need to bring allocations from a past version into your current roster, you can do this manually from the my roster employee view table:
Open the version containing the allocations you need.
Copy the entire myroster table from that version.
Paste it into the myroster table of your current roster.
This lets you recover or reuse past allocations even though direct publishing from a version isn't supported.
