Employee Properties
In the employee subsection of the employee table there are the following three fields:
Name – This is for the name of the employee
Skills – This is for the skills the employee has. Please note skill is not a mandatory field, and if all employees have the same skill, then it is not necessary to input that information. More information about skills can be found below.
Shifts or Shift Groups - This is for all the shifts an employee can work. It defaults to “all”, assuming employees can work all types of shifts or shift groups. This can be edited in the dropdown if you double-click the cell. Click here for more details.
Assign skills to my employees
Skills cover the qualifications and competencies that are relevant to the roster we are creating. Common usages of skills are things such as seniority, for example, if we are concerned about an even mix of junior and senior staff in a shift.
Once the admin users have added the skills in the skills table, you will find them under the dropdown menu under the right fields. You can select or deselect one or multiple types of skills that each employee can work on.
