What are preferences and how to use it?

What are preferences and how to use it?

There are three buttons in the action bar that you can use to define the shift or task that is allocated to the employee: critical, high, and normal.

Preferences: Shifts that are what preferred to happen but not guaranteed by the AI. Each preference is considered against the rules and demands by the AI to dynamically choose what best fulfils the needs of the roster while still maximising how many preferences are fulfilled. Each preference can be set to be normal, high, or critical importance.

Add Recurring request(s)

If your employees have a regular shift pattern, it's best to record it in the Recurring table for ease of use. This way, you won't need to enter the same information repeatedly, and the app can automatically fill in any gaps in your employee's availability.

  1. Go to the recurring patterns table.
  2. Enter the shift, shift group, or"shift-task" for each person on a given day.
  3. Select the cell and choose which type of requests for the selection
  4. Set an importance for the shift (select a single cell or a range of cells; click an importance level key)
